The Clearness Committee is a process originally created by the Quakers to help young people practice discernment in choosing a life partner. Parker Palmer modified the instructions slightly to create a gentle but powerful process that can help you get clear about nearly anything. Persons for whom Margaret has facilitated a Clearness Committee have started their own businesses, gotten clarity about their next career step and sorted through a host of other issues.

Margaret offers one-on-one spiritual direction for those who want to take the next steps on their journey of growth and learning. Spiritual direction comes from the ancient Celtic tradition of anam cara, in which an older trusted friend provided safe space for the open expression of hopes and fears, along with gentle, patient guidance and wisdom.

Margaret is a commissioned minister in the Disciples of Christ tradition with full ministerial credentials to perform weddings. She is available to provide pre-marital counseling, which includes use of the Myers-Briggs personality assessment. She has also designed and conducted numerous other types of rituals to mark the milestones of life, including birthday and anniversary blessings, memorial services, house blessings and rites of passage.
